The next step will be setting up an evaluation where your speech therapist will use a variety of assessment tools and interview questions to determine a diagnosis and treatment plan for your symptoms or challenges.
Bringing your own goals to the conversation is a great way to foster a collaborative relationship.

What do I need for a telehealth session?
You may be apprehensive about how speech, swallow, voice, cognitive, or accent reduction services can be delivered over telehealth. For the right client, virtual sessions are an amazing tool that allow you to access high-quality services even if you do not live near an experienced provider.
There are some basic ingredients that go into making a good teletherapy session:
You will need a device that connects to the internet, that has a camera and microphone. You can use a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.
Choose a space with minimal background noise and good lighting.
If it’s your first time joining a telehealth appointment, give yourself a few minutes to sign on early and have a family member or friend on standby for technical assistance.
